ATLANTA - Authorities say no explosives were found after a bomb threat prompted two state buildings near the Georgia Capitol to be evacuated.
The buildings were evacuated for nearly three hours Tuesday morning and nearby streets were shut down as authorities conducted a search. Three other buildings in the immediate area conducted voluntary evacuations.
Officials with the Georgia Department of Public Safety say the bomb threat was called in around 9 a.m. Tuesday involving the building at 47 Trinity Avenue, home to the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Also evacuated was the state building that houses the Office of the Attorney General and the Georgia Supreme Court.
