Road meetings set for Forsyth and Cherokee counties

By Staff
UNDATED - The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking input from Forsyth and Cherokee county citizens on plans to improve busy State Route 20 between Cumming and Canton.

The meetings will address potential improvements to State Route 20, which runs between Interstate 575 in Canton and Highway 400 in Cumming.

The meeting will offer interactive stations to educate the public on the issues in the area and possible next steps for Land Use and Transportation and Environment and Alternatives.

GDOT says there will be no formal presentations, but staff will be on site to answer questions and discuss the project.

Each meeting will have the same information available for the public to review.

The Forsyth county meeting will be held May 16 from 5-8 pm in the cafeteria at Otwell Middle School on Tribble Gap Road in Cumming . The Cherokee county meeting will be held May 21 from 5-8 pm at Calvary Baptist Church on Hightower Road in Ball Ground.
