Blue Sky Concerts, First Friday returning

GAINESVILLE - Downtown Gainesville's Blue Sky Concerts and First Friday celebrations are returning starting Wednesday.

The Blue Sky Concerts will be held each Wednesday in May from noon 'til 1:00 and this week will feature 2 Guys and 6 Strings (today's hits/Christian rock). Next Wednesday, May 8, the soft rock due ESP will perform, followed on May 15 by contemporary jazz artist Monica Spears, Emily Hearn (today's hits) on May 22 and and Steve Bryson (Classic and Today's Country) on May 29.

The Southern Gentlemen Dixieland Jazz Band (5:30-7:00) and the Fly Betty Band (8:00) will perform at the season's opening First Friday celebration two days later. First Friday will also feature artists, dining, shopping and more and the event will continue until 10:00.
