By The Associated Press
ATLANTA (AP) A Roswell man has been sentenced to serve more than seven years in federal prison for selling more than $9 million in stolen property on eBay and shipping the goods across state lines.

A federal judge on Monday sentenced Robert A. Hill to serve seven years and three months, followed by three years of supervised release. Hill also must pay more than $740,000 in restitution. He pleaded guilty to the charges in December.

In a parallel civil action, another federal judge ordered Hill to forfeit more than $44,000 in cash, two bank accounts worth more than $47,000, a Lexus and thousands of dollars' worth of electronics and jewelry.

Prosecutors say Hill sold stolen merchandise online and shipped it across state lines for more than 10 years through December 2011.
