Missing Gainesville teen located

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Police Department Thursday morning cancelled a lookout for a teenager who had been missing for almost two weeks.

Department officials said 16-year-old Michael Rodriquez had been located and was safe. A police officer on a traffic stop noticed Rodriquez in the back seat of the vehicle, according to officials. They said the teen had been in the area the entire time and apparently had not wanted to be discovered.

The Gainesville High School student had last been seen March 23 at the school. Police said he left of his own free will, but they were concerned and had issued a lookout because of the length of time he was gone.
