GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls tennis team got revenge for last Thursday's 3-2 loss to Lumpkin County on Wednesday by flipping the No. 1 doubles result and securing a 3-2 victory Wednesday in the rematch.
The Lady War Eagles' Haley King and Grace Brown avenged last week's three-set loss to Lumpkin's Charlotte Gaston and Ansley Travis with a straight set win Wednesday, winning 13 of the final 16 games to take a 7-5, 6-1 win.
Chestatee also got wins at No. 2 singles and mo. 2 doubles as Fernanda Arcaraz defeated Anna Claire Norton 6-2, 6-0 and Lauren McNitt and Carolina Gijon won 6-1, 6-1.
Lumpkin County won the No. 1 and No. 3 singles points with wins by Brittany Stewart and Claudia Head.
