GREER, S.C. -- The Gainesville boys golf team repeated as champions Saturday at the prestigious Georgia-South Carolina Cup held at Willow Creek Country Club.
Gainesville finished with a team total of 601 to overcome a four-shot deficit against Westminster of Atlanta and Aiken, (S.C.) to earn the victory.
Nathan Williams fired a two-day total of 146 to lead Gainesville. Pep Brown shot a 148 and both were named to the All-Tournament Team. Spencer Ralston, who got a Hole In One on No. 16 in the second round, shot a 152 and Jackson Bishop had a 155 for the Red Elephants.
Individual players Grant Lasseter shot a 156 and Reeves Bell fired a 163 for Gainesville.
