Brenau hosting women's art competition

GAINESVILLE - Brenau University is gearing up to host the women's state high school art and design competition.

School officials say submissions to the Women's Art and Design Exhibition will be displayed in the Castelli Gallery of the John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts Feb. 16 and 17. The school plans to host a reception, awards ceremony and scholarship presentation on Feb. 18. The school is offering $40,000 in scholarships and $10,000 in cash prizes.

Entrants will also attend a day of workshops, portfolio reviews and lectures on art criticism offered by Brenau faculty members.
