7-AAA tournament: Buford boys whip Banks Co., advance to state

BUFORD -- The Buford boys basketball team advanced to the Class AAA state tournament after whipping Banks County 62-44 Tuesday in the first round of the Region 7-AAA tournament at the Buford gym.

Isaiah Williams poured in 14 points to lead the Wolves. Kyle Doyle added 13 points and A.J. Davis had 11 for Buford.

The Wolves will take on Dawson County at 5:30 p.m. friday at North Hall in the semifinals.
