Missing Habersham mother, son located safe

CLARKESVILLE - The Habersham County Sheriff's Office has cancelled the alert for a missing woman and child they considered to be endangered.

Sgt. Richard Stein said Tuesday afternoon that Emily Ball Montesinos, 25, and 5-year-old Roy Ivan Montesinos, who were last seen Feb. 2, have been located safe in California.

Stein said he is grateful for all the tips received by officers, by telephone, through the sheriff's office website, and through the department's Facebook page.
