GALEO, Univision Atlanta hosting Gainesville mayoral forum

GAINESVILLE - WUVG Univision 34, an Atlanta Spanish-language television station and the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO), are hosting a forum for the Gainesville mayoral candidates tonight.

It will be held at the Gainesville Civic Center from 6:30-8:30 and will be taped for telecast on Univision 34 Sunday at 6:00 p.m. - two days before the election.

The forum will be moderated by Univision 34 news anchor Amanda Ramirez. Also participating will be News Director Gianncarlo Cifuentes and Univision 34 Community Affairs Director Mariela Romero. GALEO says the forum is intended to inform and educate Latino voters the City of Gainesville "on the views and policy positions" of the candidates on "key issues affecting the community."

The candidates are Charles Alvarez, Danny Dunagan, Debra Harkrider and Rose Johnson.

The forum will air on Univision 34 Atlanta at 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 3rd.
