Eagles soar past Glascock County

GIBSON -- Riverside Military Academy scored on all 10 of its possessions en route to a 66-0 thrashing off Glascock County Friday night.

The Eagles (4-4) scored twice in the first three minutes taking advantage of two Glascock County (1-7) turnovers in the three plays for the Panthers.

Collin Pettel had a huge game for Riverside going 12-for-14 for 340 yards and five touchdowns passing. he also added a rushing touchdown.

Avery Cagle had 130 receiving and 100 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns for Riverside. Sage Jordan had 140 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Eagles.

J.J. McCalston had two touchdown receptions, Raleigh Beougher had one receiving touchdown, and Chris Rosato had one rushing touchdown for Riverside.

The Eagles, who have won two straight, will jump back into Region 8-AA action next week playing host to Class AA No. 10-ranked and defending Class AA state champion Jefferson.
