Volleyball: Lakeview wraps regular season with win

GAINESVILLE -- Lakeview Academy volleyball celebrated senior night by defeating Gainesville 25-27, 25-23, 25-21 on Tuesday at home.

Senior Shelby Ross led the way with 12 kills, 16 service points with three aces and nine digs. Senior Samantha Versteeg also had 24 digs. Seniors Anna Rodgers, Kaylee McClendon, and Hanna Ackerman also combined for 10 kills and 11 digs.

Katie White added 20 digs and 10 kills and an ace, while Peaches Shipley had six kills, one ace and two blocks. Bailey Towles also contributed 17 assists and 3 aces.

Lakeview travels to Athens on Thursday for the first round of area tournament play.
