DANIELSVILLE -- The Lumpkin County girls fell to a hot-shooting Madison County squad 65-40 Tuesday night in Region 8-AAAA action.
Madison County (14-8, 4-1), was paced by Elise Coberly, who poured in 25 points while also passing the 1,000-point mark for her career. Macy Rutledge added 13 points for the Lady Raiders.
Madison County was 10-of-13 from 3-point range.
Lumpkin County (4-19, 2-4), which got within 10 early in the third quarter, was led by Morgan Wood with 12 points. Randi Malone added 10.
Lumpkin County next will play host to Walnut Grove on Friday in Dahlonega.
