BLUE RIDGE -- White County looked set to run away with things at halftime of Friday's game at Fannin County.

The Rebels were having none of it.

Fannin pushed the Warriors every step of the way in the second half, only succumbing inside the final two minutes when White County snagged an onside kick attempt and ran out the clock for a 35-28 victory.

The Warriors moved to 3-0 for the first time since 1975 with the win.

Quarterback Will Brock led the charge for White County, rushing for 42 yards and four touchdowns and passing for 107 yards and the Warriors' other score, as the visitors rolled up 312 yards rushing.

Maurice Sutton also pounded out 94 yards on the ground on just seven attempts, while Will Stonecypher carried four times for 74 yards. The senior also played a key role on defense and special teams, producing four sacks and recovering the onside kick that sealed the win.

The Warriors' Coley Loudermilk also caught two passes for 71 yards, while Andrew Bergin caught a 33-yard pass for a score.

White County, now 1-0 in Region 7-AAA, will play host to Blessed Trinity next Friday.

Fannin County (0-4, 0-1) will take a bye next week before facing West Hall on Sept. 28.
