GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy girls volleyball continued its strong play Saturday, taking three of four matches at the Lakeview gym.
lakeview Academy (5-5) has won four of its last five overall after a 1-4 start. The Lady Lions beat Providence Christian 25-19, 25-18 and then Athens Christian 25-23, 25 18 in straight sets and then held off Tallulah Falls 25-11, 28-30, 15-9 in three sets. they dropped the final match of the day 25-19 and 25-13 to Hebron Christian.
Overall, Katie White had 32 kills, 14 digs, five aces and two blocks to pace Lakeview. Shelby Ross had 15 kills, six aces and six blocks, Bailey Towles added 30 assists, 14 digs and 10 aces, Delaney Jarrett had 24 assists and Samantha Versteeg had 17 digs for the Lady Lions.
Lakeview is off until next Saturday in a quad-team match at Jefferson with Chestatee, Central Gwinnett, and the Lady Dragons.
