NORCROSS -- Class AAA No. 1 Buford remained unbeaten after holding off Wesleyan 2-0 in six innings in the GADC Leadoff Classic tournament Friday.
Sophomore Bria Bush earned her second win of the season going the distance allowing just two hits while fanning two. Bush also drove in both runs at the plate with a RBI single in the second and a RBI groundout in the sixth.
Senior Jazmin Hawkins had three hits, stole one base, and scored a run for the Lady Wolves. Senior Bekah Rude also had two hits for Buford.
the Lady Wolves will have a busy day Saturday in the GADC tournament with three games. They begin against Loganville at 8 a.m. and then play First Presbyterian Day at 11 a.m.. They finish the day against Northview at 3:30 p.m.
