Gwinnett police warn parents to be alert for child prowler

By The Associated Press
LAWRENCEVILLE - Authorities say similarities in four separate attempts to entice or capture teens and younger children in Gwinnett County have led police to believe the same man could be behind them.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that police are telling residents in the suburban Atlanta county to be alert after the four incidents since January.

Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter said the incidents have occurred at all hours of the day in the Norcross and Snellville areas. He said the children involved range in age from 8 to 13 years old, and the incidents have occurred from Jan. 31 to March 13.

Descriptions given to police by the victims have been vague, although the newspaper reports the suspect was driving a gold-colored car. In two instances, witnesses said the suspect was wearing a black mask.
