Richards, Covert will meet in Flowery Branch runoff

FLOWERY BRANCH - Voters in the south Hall city of Flowery Branch will have to go back to the polls again next month.

In Tuesday's election for city council post 3, Fred Richards received 122 votes to Jason Covert's 119. Third place finisher Pat Zalewski received 29 votes in the special election.

Since no candidate received 50% plus 1 of the vote, there will be a runoff between Richards and covert on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
