ATLANTA - Three more northeast Georgia counties, including Forsyth and Gilmer, have gained "Camera Ready" status.
Madison County is also on that recently updated list.
The state's Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office announced the designations Wednesday at the state Capitol. The latest additions mean that at least 137 Georgia counties have named a local liaison to assist film producers seeking to shoot at locations in their communities.
The announcement also means all 17 counties considered "northeast Georgia" are now all "Camera Ready," according to the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
State officials said more than 336 projects filmed in Georgia in the fiscal year ending June 30, had an economic investment of more than $683 million.
Other new ``Camera Ready'' communities include the counties of Bleckley, Brantley, Brooks, Bryan, Clay, Crawford, Dodge, Early, Grady, Lamar, Lanier, Monroe, Oglethorpe, Quitman, Seminole, Stewart, Talbot, Telfair, Thomas, Tift, Turner and Wilkinson.
