SUWANEE - A Gwinnett County woman who allegedly tried to steal thousands of dollars worth of toys from the Suwanee Toys for Tots distribution center is free on bond. According to a report in the Gwinnett Daily Post, 31-year-old Amber Dowell of Snellville was arrested Saturday and released the same day.
An arrest report said Dowell told Toys for Tots workers she was associated with the West Walton Football and Cheer booster club when she tried to take 500 toys from the center on December 18.
Dowell, who is out on $55,400 bond per the newspaper report, has been charged with identity fraud and criminal attempt to commit a felony.
