UNDATED - A trio of parades, in Helen, Cornelia and Cleveland, drew thousands of people out on Saturday to celebrate the Christmas season.
In Helen, some 3,000 people turned out for that city's Christmas parade, which began at 2 p.m.
In Cornelia, roughly 2,000 people viewed the 4 p.m. parade along Main Street, with many staying around to see Santa Claus, for the tree-lighting and other associated activities.
In Cleveland, crowds estimated at 5,000 to 6,000 lined the streets to celebate Christmas in the Mountains, complete with a lighted parade.
