Stabbing victim out of hospital, no suspects

GAINESVILLE - Hall County authorities Tuesday afternoon released the name of the victim in Sunday morning's stabbing in Murrayville.

According to Sheriff's Sgt. Kiley Sargent, 19 year old Jacob Diemer of Murrayville has since been released from the hospital.

Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks earlier said it happened in the 6000 block of Glen Burtz Road.

"The individuals who were outside the residence were approached by an unknown male that was walking down the road. This subject approached them and asked if he could borrow a cigarette," Wilbanks said.

It all happened around 3:00 a.m. Sunday.

"At some point, an argument ensued and that turned into a physical altercation," Wilbanks said on Sunday.

Diemer was flown to Gwinnett Medical Center following the incident.

Sargent on Tuesday said no suspects have developed and no arrests have been made.
