GAINESVILLE - As Black Friday was winding down, the merchants at Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville seemed pleased with the traffic.
Lakeshore Marketing Manager Kirsten Boettcher said it was a busy day.
"We don't see any reason to think that it's not going to be a good holiday season. Hopefully, it will stay busy," Boettcher said.
The mall opened at midnight with Sears opening earlier on Thanksgiving. Boettcher said there were lines prior to Sears' opening as well as at Belk.
"It stayed consistently busy. Everyone seems very happy," Boettcher said.
