Braselton hires downtown director

By Derreck Booth Anchor/reporter
BRASELTON - Braselton officials have hired a former banker to serve as the town's downtown director. Officials announced Tuesday that Amy K. Pinnell would serve in the position to focus on economic development.

While having experience in sales and marketing, Pinnell most recently served as a customer service representative with Northeast Georgia bank.

"As our growth plan mentions, we were seeking someone to focus on economic development opportunities for the downtown its branding potential. We are excited about Amy's potential and enthusiasm," Town Manager Jennifer Dees said in a release.

According to the city, Pinnell will staff the Braselton Downtown Development Authority, facilitate the makeover of the historic downtown and market the town for premier destinations, retail and community activities.
