GAINESVILLE - Testimony in the murder trial of a woman accused in the death of her 18 month old daughter last summer in Hall County got underway Wednesday.
Superior Court Judge C. Andrew Fuller's office confirmed the status of Deanna Kipp's trial.
Kaylee Kipp's body was found last summer in a unit at the On Riverside Condominium complex in Gainesville.
Deanna Kipp's boyfriend, Stephen Clark West, was sentenced to life in prison in the case last month.
Court documents showed the couple is accused of assaulting the child with an unspecified "blunt object" sometime between June 11 and 12, 2011, causing swelling of the brain and death.
Deanna Kipp was 24 at the time of the death.
