CORNELIA - Motorists who hope to move more quickly through downtown Cornelia when a train is on the tracks will find that more difficult this week.
That's because the city's railroad underpass is undergoing a facelift by city workers.
"They are painting it," said Cornelia City Manager Donald Anderson. "I don't know how much longer it will take - it depends on the weather. I hope it will be done this week."
The underpass is located on Wells Street between Front Street and Irvin Street, one block off Main Street, in downtown Cornelia.
