GBI releases video of Brunn interrogation

By The Associated Press
CANTON - A maintenance man who eventually admitted to sexually assaulting and killing a 7-year-old Canton girl repeatedly denied any involvement with the crimes during his interrogation.

Video of a polygraph test and interview of 20-year-old Ryan Brunn, which occurred five days after Jorelys Rivera disappeared, was released Thursday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Brunn, who lived at one time in the Dahlonega area, appears nervous during parts of the video, pulling at his clothes and coughing as if to clear his throat. Other times, he seems to relax as a GBI agent engages him in casual conversation.

Brunn had just begun a life sentence for molesting and killing the girl at her Canton apartment complex when he used his sweat shirt to hang himself in his prison cell in Jackson on Jan. 19.
