Cornelia Job expo set for Tues.

ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Labor's Habersham Career Center, along with other local groups, businesses, and employers, will participate in a job and resource expo for job seekers and employers Tuesday, Sept. 13. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Cornelia United Methodist Church, located at 275 Wyly St. in Cornelia.

The event will feature about 40 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring, while others will be discussing possible future employment opportunities. Applicants should bring multiple copies of their resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available jobs.

Employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies expected to participate in the event include: AAA Auto Club South, Axiom Staffing, Daly's Truck Driving School DeVry University, Fatherhood, Fieldale Farms Corporation, Flex Staff Services, Habersham County E-911, Hall County Sheriff's Office, Herzing University, Human Technologies, Kaplan University, Kelly Services, KIK Custom Products, Lee Arrendale State Prison, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Mount Vernon Mills, North Georgia Technical College, Piedmont College, Pre-Paid Legal Services, Premier Design, Primerica Financial Services, Rainbow International, Regions Bank, Select Staffing, Small Business Development, Spherion Staffing, Stork Food and Dairy Systems, Tencate/Pendergrass, The Hammer Group, Toppstep, Tupperware, United Parcel Services, Veteran Services, U.S. Army, Waffle House, and Windstream.
