Forsyth gets new planning director

By Ken Stanford Reporter
CUMMING - A top job in Forsyth County - planning director - has gone to Tom Brown, the man who has served as interim director for almost a year.

Brown, who has worked for Forsyth County since 1998, replaces Jeff Chance who was fired last August.

County spokesman Logan Thomas said Wednesday with Brown's appointment comes a new name for the department he heads (Forsyth County Planning and Community Development) and the job he holds (Forsyth County Director of Planning and Community Development).

Chance was fired a year ago after he was charged with improper use of his county email account.
