Kidnapping case bound over to superior court

By Staff
LAWRENCEVILLE - A Hall County man accused of kidnapping a 10-year-old Gwinnett County boy last month has had his case bound over to Gwinnett County Superior Court.

Christopher Ray did not take the stand yesterday; Gwinnett police confirm he is scheduled for a bond hearing September 30.

Ray, described as a babysitter for Mario Taddeo and his brothers, apparently picked up the boy from a friend's house at the child's request. The boy did not tell his mother where he was and was found hiding in the attic of Ray's Hall County home the day after he disappeared.

Ray faces obstruction charges in Hall County and a felony kidnapping charge in Gwinnett.
