UGA tailgaters face new rules

By Staff
ATHENS - Game day at the University of Georgia and that means tailgating...but the rules have changed this year. After tailgaters left more 70 tons of trash on campus after last year's home opener, there are new tailgating rules in place.

First and foremost, tailgating is restricted to four hours before kickoff on historic North Campus. And, there are restrictions on kegs, grills, tents and household furniture, too.

Some fans have said the new rules are "cramping their style," so they'll move their tailgate parties off campus.

Other UGA parking areas have new tailgating restrictions, as well.
