Volleyball: Jefferson stays perfect in 8N-AA/A

GAINESVILLE -- Jefferson won a pair of Region 8N-AA/A matches on the road Tuesday at the Lakeview Academy gym.

The Lady Dragons rallied to knock off host Lakeview 2-1 (19-25, 25-20, 25-12). In the second match Jefferson defeated Tallulah Falls 2-0 (27-25, 25-8).

Against Lakeview, Cassie Metcalf paced Jefferson (14-4, 4-0 in subregion) with 12 aces and three kills. Taylor Cramsey added 13 kills and Eden Starnes had 12 kills. Amanda Daniel set up the offense with 17 assists while Sarah Wood had three assists and four kills for the Lady Dragons.

Against Tallulah Falls, Metcalf had three aces and three kills, Amanda Daniel had 14 assists, and Cramsey added six kills. Starnes had two aces and one kill and Wood added four aces, six kills and one assist.

In both matches Savannah Bogue and Brianna Patterson played well in the back row.

Jefferson next will travel to West Hall for a pair of matches against the Lady Spartans and Buford.
