Drug agents find pot at Cleveland house

By B.J. Williams
CLEVELAND - Drug agents have confiscated more than $21,OOO worth of marijuana at a home in White County.

Agents with the Appalachian Drug Task Force, along with authorities from the White County Sheriff's Department, arrested Leon David Clare, Jr., age 35, of Cleveland Tuesday night about 6:00. Mitchell Posey, the commander of the drug task force, said the investigation is ongoing.

"It's still an ongoing investigation in terms of whether he was acting by himself or if he was being assisted by others," said Posey.

Posey said agents confiscated a total of 18 pot plants growing at the Cleveland house.

He said authorities received a tip about the marijuana earlier in the day Tuesday and were able to act quickly.

Posey encouraged anyone who might have drug information to call the Appalachian Drug Task Force tip line at 1-800-497-6125.
