Suspect in North Hall stabbing out of surgery

GAINESVILLE - A Murrayville man is out of surgery following a stabbing incident Wednesday evening on Lawson Robinson Road in North Hall.

Hall County Sheriff's Sgt. Kiley Sargent said the suspect, 29-year-old Jamie Allison, received non-life-threatening stab wounds and was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital.

"He underwent exploratory surgery, and he is expected to recover," said Sargent.

He said Allison will be charged with one count of aggravated assault once he is released from Grady.

Sargent said the victim, 32-year-old Benjamin Loggins, is not expected to be charged. He said Loggins sustained a head injury and was treated and released from Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

The incident is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriffâ
