CLEVELAND - More potential candidate have let it be know that they will be seeking a position on the White Board of Commissioners in this years election.
On Monday former commission Chairman Chris Nonnemaker said he would seek the district 4 commission post. Nonnemaker was elected Chairman in 2000 and was re-elected in 2004, one of only a few Commissioners ever elected to two consecutive terms. Wednesday former commissioner 58-year old Edwin Nix, who served on the board from 1999-2002 says he has received a lot of encouragement to represent district three. Nix said he has no special agenda in announcing his candidacy.
Qualifying for the county commission and board of education post up for election this will begin Monday April 26th at the White County Courthouse.
