A White Christmas?

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
UNDATED - From the canyons of northwest Georgia to the onion fields in Toombs County, nearly 100 Georgia counties are on alert this morning for a possible White Christmas.

Up to four inches of snow could fall in parts of Georgia starting Christmas Day and continuing through Sunday. In fact, nearly 100 counties are in the path of the storm system that could bring us the snow. (See link below.)

The affected area runs from northwest to southeast Georgia... as far south as Macon and Vidalia.

Forecasters says moisture will begin moving into the state late Friday night and continue through Sunday morning.

Up to four inches of snow is possible in the mountains, between 1-3 inches as far south as Athens and Atlanta and and an inch or less to the south of there.
