Record enrollment leads to an increase in job openings

By Staff
CLEVELAND - After experiencing a record enrollment this school year and a 62% increase since 2008, Truett McConnell's growth has also created new faculty job opportunities.

The college currently has six faculty positions open and anticipates having more in the future.

Dr. Brad Reynolds, Vice President for Academic Services, said "there is a need for additional faculty in the following areas: Math, Organismal Biology, Molecular/Micro Biology, History and Business."

"Also," Dr. Reynolds said, "with the current trend of growth under Dr. Emir Caner (TMC President), we expect another large incoming class in 2011. Our expectations have led to the additional need for faculty next fall in the areas of Missions and English."

Truett- McConnell is a Baptist college and educates from a Christian worldview. Therefore, school officials, said the individuals applying for these positions must be active Christians, fully supportive of the Baptist Faith. The successful candidate must teach from a Christian perspective, they add, and set a Christian example for students.
