Hoschton molestation suspect now wanted in Barrow County

WINDER - A Hoschton man, jailed in Jackson County on child molestation charges, now faces similar charges in Barrow County.

Edward Hunt, 34, was arrested Monday in Hoschton on a child molestation case dating back to July. He is being held without bond in the Jackson County jail in connection with that case.

Now the Barrow County Sheriff's Office is ready to charge Hunt with 10 counts of child molestation, 2 counts of rape and 4 counts of aggravated assault, according to Investigator Matt Guthas.

"At this point we have to wait until he's released before he's released from Jackson County before we can actually serve our warrants on him," said Guthas.

The Barrow County charges involved a female juvenile suspect. The alleged crimes occurred between 2005 and 2007.
