Volleyball: Chestatee edges Gilmer

ELLIJAY -- The Chestatee volleyball team pushed past Gilmer 2-1 on Tuesday night in Ellijay.

The Lady War Eagles won the first game 25-23, fell in game two 25-12 and rebounded to take the match with a 25-17 victory in game three.

Chestatee's Alura Roe led the way in the win with nine kills. Madison Yates also had three kills and two blocks, while Ali Burnette tallied three kills. Charlotte Hill also added three aces and 10 assists, and Jessica Porter scored one kill and had 20 digs.

The Lady War Eagles take part in a tournament at Winder-Barrow on Thursday.
