Area teams dominate latest Class AA softball poll

Area softball teams dominate the latest Class AA coaches poll, including Buford, East Jackson and Jefferson.

The Lady Wolves retained the top spot in the poll, released today, while the Lady Eagles sit in third place. the Lady Dragons, meanwhile, are ranked ninth.

Buford and Jefferson were scheduled to play each other Tuesday in a non-region contest, but the game was postponed due to inclement weather and has not been rescheduled yet.

Meanwhile, Class AAAAA is also marked by area teams, with Mill Creek ranked third and North Gwinnett seventh.
