JHS girls' basketball coach resigns

OAKWOOD - Johnson High School Principal Damon Gibbs has announced that Coach Michael Youngblood has resigned his position as head girls' basketball coach at the school to accept a position as head boys' coach at Oconee County High School.

Youngblood has led the Knight program for the past two seasons, compiling a 19-33 record. In his first year, the Lady Knights reached the state tournament. Prior to becoming head coach, he served as an assistant coach for one year under Benji Wood.
