The verbal legacies of our presidents. Woe is us.

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
There's much speculation these days, with George W. Bush's final term as president coming to an end, over what the legacy of the Bush White House will be. And that got me to thinking about the quotes that follow former occupants of the White House to their graves. Some, they are no doubt quite proud of, but some the speakers would probably just as soon forget.

Some of the examples that come to mind include:

"Bring 'em on." - George W. Bush, July 2003, on the threat of increased insurgent activity in Iraq, two months after the fall of Baghdad and long before the U.S. death toll in Iraq reached 4,000+, where it is now.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky."
