Teen burned in South Hall grease fire

FLOWERY BRANCH - A teenager is being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital after receiving second and third degree burns to his face and hands after a grease fire Monday in Flowery Branch.

"Approximately 10 percent of his body was burned," Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said. He said the fire was already out by the time authorities arrived at the home on Flowery Way.

Cagle said cooking fires like this one remain the number one cause of fires in Hall County and the rest of the country.
