Woman wanted in Louisana murder case located

GAINESVILLE - The woman wanted by Louisana authorities in their investigation into the murders of two Gainesville men has been located in Gainesville and turned over to Louisana investigators.

"Thanks to the assistance of the media the female has been identified and located," Maj. Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office said Friday morning. "She has been turned over to the Investigators with the Saint Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office."

The men were found shot, execution-style, earlier this month. The bodies of 30-year-old Miguel Ayala and 26-year-old Felipe Maximo, were found about four miles apart along I-12 about 30 miles outside New Orleans, according to Maj. Strickland.

On Tuesday, the sheriff's office released pictures of Ayala and Maximo as well as a picture of Ayala and the woman, taken from a store's security camera.

Repeated attempts to talk to the sheriff of St. Tammany Parish in Covington or his spokesman this week have been unsuccessful. It's unclear if the woman is a suspect, a person of interest or was thought to be a victim - and its unclear if investigators have established a motive for the slayings.

A car connected to the case, which had been rented in Gainesville, was found in Gainesville.
