UNDATED - Remember August, when we were having record-setting high temperatures? Well, December is getting in on the act.

It was 75 at the Gainesville airport Sunday breaking the old mark for the date of 73 which was set in 1943. Record highs were also set Sunday in Atlanta, Macon and Columbus.

The Weather Channel's Lewelling says more records may fall Monday and Tuesday. The record high for Monday is 74 and was also set in 1943. Monday's expected high is around 75. The same thing is forecast Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a Dense Fog Advisory was posted overnight for most of North Georgia, including Gainesville and surrounding areas. It will remain in effect until 9:00 Monday morning.
