Sheriff's deputy slightly hurt in wreck

BLACKSHEAR PLACE - A Hall County sheriff's deputy was slightly injured Monday morning when he was involved in a wreck.

Sheriff's Maj. Jeff Strickland said the officer's patrol car was stopped at Atlanta Highway and Mundy Mill Road at the Blackshear Place at the time. He says another car rear-ended the officer's car.

The deputy was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure, according to Maj. Strickland, complaining of a back injury.

There were no other injuries, according to Strickland.
