Commerce man fatally injured in wreck

COMMERCE - A 40-year-old Commerce man has died of injuries received in a traffic accident on Wednesday.

The head-on crash occurred on Old Hoods Mill Road in Jackson County.

Tony Downey died at BJC Hospital in Commerce.

The state patrol says his car crossed the centerline and struck a minivan driven by Misee Xiong, also of Commerce, who was seriously injured.
