GAINESVILLE - Nearly 300 letters are going out to businesses in Gainesville to detail state and local laws that deal with illegal runoff and other matter that often end up in creeks.
The letters from the city's Public Utilities Department were sent to restaurants, car dealers, and auto repair shops. Letters also went to stores that have shopping carts because shopping carts frequently wind up in creeks, as well.
