Soccer complex gets new picnic tables

ARCADE - There are now more than a dozen picnic tables dotting the grounds of the Allen Creek Soccer Complex - and they didn't cost taxpayers a dime.

They were bought with private funds raised by a local government management class.

"We had originally thought we could get about three picnic tables and we actually ended up getting 14," Dawn Farris, Arcade's city clerk.

Farris adds the tables are probably worth about $9,000.
